I had the pleasure of being asked by the Stratford Upon Avon Women’s Institute to cover a ‘Pamper Event’ at the Riverside this week.
Treatments were available, advice on hand and beautiful things to buy all made for a fabulous and successful evening.
The photographs were very well received, and I have been asked to cover a fashion shoot that is arranged at the Stratford Artshouse in September 🙂
More activity this week, I took some shots at the Women’s World Cup cricket match between England and Australia. Exciting stuff, with England winning by just 3 runs and over 500 runs scored in total.
Sports photography is something I would dearly love to get into. I got talking to one of the official press photographers there, who had a Canon 1DX II and a 600mm lens that cost more than my car! My trusty 5D MkII and 24-105mm will have to make do for now, although it would be nice to get closer to the action.
A baking hot day, slapped the suncream on (especially on my daughter) and enjoyed the day. Taking pictures of Ellyse Perry isn’t exactly tough work, mind!
Not my usual thing, but really enjoyed a shoot I did yesterday at Donnington Park racetrack. Was invited over by a friend who was testing a Fiesta Cup car for a team called JamSport, but there was a variety of different cars on track ranging from a racing Lotus and Caterhams to a Vauxhall Nova and classic Mini Clubman!
Very different to my usual, slightly less frenetic, portrait shoots! Enjoyed the challenge of completely alien camera settings to what i’m used to. Pleased with the results, however, and cannot wait to do a similar shoot in the future.
Hope you like the pics!
